WEBuildem.com employs a phased approach to the development of a web site or software application. It is a commonly used methodology designed to establish a process that continually moves a project forward and allows both the client and the developer an understanding of the requirements, process, the timeline, and the cost of a project. This phased approach minimizes the amount of rework and emphasizes planning to ensure scope and budget. The phases are Definition, Analysis, Development and Deployment.
Definition
During the Definition Phase WEBuildem.com will work with the client to:
Determine project scope
Identify the preliminary resources
Develop a rough project plan including budget and timeline.
Most of this phase is complete at proposal time.
Analysis
The Analysis Phase is defined by the specific goals and functions of the project and the end result is a requirements document that will give the specifics of the project. During this phase, WEBuildem.com will:
Conduct a needs analysis
Draft preliminary software specifications
Develop preliminary budget requirement
Develop delivery timeline.
Design
In the Design Phase WEBuildem.com will develop the actual specifications needed to fulfill the requirements identified in the Definition and Analysis phases. This includes:
Develop functional specifications including database schema
Develop prototype based on functional specifications
Incorporate feedback into functional specifications
Development
The development phase is where WEBuildem.com gets their hands dirty. The actual coding and production work is done in this phase and will include:
Identify modular/tiered design parameters
Assign development staff
Develop code
Developer testing (primary debugging)
Deployment
The final phase is the Deployment Phase. This is the time that we feel that the project coding is finished and now it needs its final tweaking and approval to actually launch the site or place the application into production. This phase includes:
Testing
Training
Documentation
Beta/Pilot
Final Launch
